Armin Holland
Armin has been working at Baader Bank as Head of Accounting for over 25 years.
Why do you work at Baader Bank?
In 1999, a former supervisor approached me to ask if I thought I was capable of reorganising the accounting department at Baader Bank. During the interview the company's founder, Uto Baader, convinced me this was a unique opportunity that I would never regret taking. He was right. Even after 25 years with the company, I can say that I've never regretted my decision.
How would you describe our culture?
The Baader culture is shaped by Baader Bank being a family business and having identified employees as individuals as an essential factor behind the company's success; this mindset is evident throughout the company. Accordingly, management often concentrates its efforts on employees as individuals.
There's a belief that employees should be able to realise their full potential at work and enjoy what they do.
What's been your best moment at Baader Bank?
There have been many great moments during my time at Baader Bank:
- promotions
- being made an authorised signatory
- the company celebration at Lake Maggiore in 2008
- surviving the financial crises of 2001–2003 and 2008–2010
This makes it difficult for me to single out one moment as the best.
