Mr Kamprath was for many years Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kreissparkasse München Starnberg before retiring on 1 May 2009.

Following initial assignments at Kreissparkasse München in the areas of accounting and lending, the trained banker assumed the functions of auditor and consultant at Sparkassenverband Bayern (Bavarian Savings Bank Association). In 1977, Mr Kamprath returned to Kreissparkasse München as a member of the Board of Directors where he took on the role of Chairman in 1995. He also retained this function following the merger of Kreissparkasse München and Kreissparkasse Starnberg in 2000.
