Dr Schiessl studied business administration and law at Munich University and has practised as a lawer for more than 30 years.

Dr Schiessl is a senior partner at Schiessl, Schrank & Partner, an international law and auditing firm with offices in Munich, Berlin and Paris. As a lawyer, his specialty is economic consultancy for companies, particularly on all matters relating to IPOs.

Dr Horst Schiessl has been a Member of the Baader Bank Supervisory Board since April 1999, and was elected Chairman on 10 July 2002.
