The Annual General Meeting held on 10 July 2002 appointed Dr Niemann as successor to Prof Tremer in the Supervisory Board.

In the subsequent constitutive meeting of the Supervisory Board, Dr Niemann was elected Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
