Baader acquires Spütz Börsenservice GmbH

Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG, Unterschleissheim, has acquired Spütz Börsenservice GmbH, Frankfurt, a subsidiary of Spütz AG, with retroactive effect from January 1, 2003. Spütz Börsenservice GmbH currently manages over 34,000 order books for structured products (warrants, certificates, etc.) in Frankfurt and Berlin.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With this acquisition, Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG, Germany's leading securities trading house, is expanding its portfolio in the area of market-making in structured products on the Frankfurt and Berlin Stock Exchanges, thus actively implementing its strategy of diversifying its range of securities services.
